About this deal

I've very much had to adapt to using this device - which is never optimal really - as devices should more rightly adapt and align to your needs. The AIRD preamplifier models are all amp/cab combinations, although their cabinets can be edited as part of the Main/Sub output Recording mode settings, where you can access the seven alternative cabinets provided in the GT‑1000, plus the additional loudspeaker impulse responses (IRs) that you can upload via the GT‑1000 IR Loader. A final one for me, although more might pop into my head, use the Tone Studio software and use it to access the Tone Central repository.

The GT-1000 continues to evolve through ongoing firmware development that adds new features and functionality enhancements requested by users. So it became a way to really be able to use especially my Petrucci Neural plugin, even sending midi via USB to change presets.I hope they do a GX-100 core as the full size GX-100 is probably my favourite BOSS modeler but I have no need for a built in exp pedal. I took the GT-1000 CORE for a near replica of the original much bigger GT-1000 - but just with a lot fewer controls, inputs and outputs. It could have been better though - while it hopefully will rise up to meet its true potential over the next months and years - I'm definitely sticking with it for the duration.

The GT-1000 comes equipped with Bluetooth—a first for a pro-level amp/effects processor—allowing you to wirelessly manage sounds from the BOSS Tone Studio app for iOS and Android. There's not as much DSP in either when you start piling on one (or two) amps, but that's a different use case. The core vs Line6 stuff, outside of preference for specific effects or amp models, really comes down to a difference in philosophy. With a 'Blank' patch applied, I noted that my signal chain no longer had that smooth and gooey analog warmth, but was instead rendering somewhat sharper and more brittle - I must give a shout out to Matt Knight and Mark Harley from Boss who were supremely helpful to me throughout my initial explorations.

Based on my experience with the GFI Synesthesia and Eventide H9 - I knew I would need additional footswitches to exercise the kind of control I needed.

The Blank patch is thus my 'Standy' / 'Bypass' mode - and I need to page to and from said default whenever I wish to take the pedal off active duty. New Master Delay Types—Five delay algorithms from the historic BOSS/Roland library have been added: SDE-3000, DD-20 Standard and DD-20 Analog, and Warm and Glitch from the DD-8. Please give us the reason for your assessment in the following text box and – if possible – your e-mail address for further questions.Certainly the Helix might have an edge in that department, although personally that advantage is not as big as to make it the key aspect to prefer the Helix. The GT-1000 takes bass processing to new heights with next-generation sound quality and ultra-flexible performance features. GT-1000CORE fits into any pedalboard setup and works equally well as a standalone processor for playing live and in the studio. Quote from: Boisdelac on May 23, 2022, 01:07:19 AM The Helix series is from 2015, still selling and much older than the Boss GT1000 series.

The dedicated Recording mode offers a variety of built-in speaker and mic types, and it’s possible to import WAV-format speaker impulse responses with the GT-1000 IR Loader software.

I am running it along my mesa roadster using the 4 cable method and I have an extra loop where my glass nexus will eventually live. My next explorations will rather be more into parallel path experiments - which I'm currently just getting my head around as to how that best works on the CORE.
