Lalique Encre Noire a l'Extreme Eau de Parfum Natural Spray
About this deal
Between light and shadow exists a new definition of the masculine which describes Encre Noire à l’Extrême.
Disappointing longevity for an EDP but on the other hand you can pick it up for ~20eur which is dirt cheap for a fragrance like this one so you can go crazy with extra sprays. While it has this "inky" aspect to it much like the original, it seems to be somewhat toned down by a plethora of other woody notes, a tad of bergamot and an extra kick of vetiver. A trio composed of bergamot, cypress and elemi opens the bouquet as spicy and fresh before a masculine accord of vetiver asserts itself.
Probably not the first thing you should get, but if you’re a bit bored of your usual dna, this is a pretty great thing to expand your horizon with.
A l'Extreme is effectively the same scent as the OG with a few additions which serve two purposes: To create a more well-rounded, base-heavy scent, and to clash painfully with the original vetiver. com perfumes magazine - All Rights Reserved - do not copy anything without prior written permission. This is like a very bright sap whereas my preference is probably for something darker and, to me, more opulent-smelling and sultry. Here the additional woods round the edges of the original EN, and make it smoother, warmer and more wearable.
After about an hour the fragrance hits its finale and settles into a patchouli sandalwood fragrance with a dominant earthy vetiver accord. Like if you primed me by telling me this smells like leather, I’d have accepted it and wood would probably never have even entered my mind. If you choose to send this piece as a gift, you have the option to include a note with a personal message. I have even gave my Tshirt a 10 spray blast just to make sure it wasn't me and again as if like magic after a couple of hrs virtually nothing. If you have the personality to match this, it’s a damn good fragrance that will add to your interesting presence.
Would be a perfect compliment to being suited up and out for the evening, as it has a touch of class about it and wears close as it’s an eau de parfum. Again a little later it turns to powdery, skin-like scents with vetiver and again incense with resins. I think this is the last straw, I'll stick with my bottle of the original "Encre Noire" and put this in the donation bin. Biggest difference between it and the original is in the opening 15-20mins when the incense and orris are most prominent. For me, it can be both a daytime and nighttime fragrance, though I will always wear it in cold, rainy weather. This smell complements mowing a lawn or chopping wood so well, it's an intense lumberjack kind of scent. It is a beautiful fragrance and if you like EN and feel like gambling a little bit I would say try it! Encre Noire à l’Extrême plays on contrasts to express every facet of masculinity through powerful, seductive accords. The perfumes are oriented towards the exceptional reputation and luxurious character of the company.
honestly i can't understand if the encre noire a l'extreme i've got is the same some of the reviewers have. To sum up, extreme version is a richer, more sophisticated version of the original, but both are equally welcome on my shelf. L'extreme is an evolution from Encre Noire, respectably retaining its core yet refining the accord with a mystique and fluidity of its own… A work of art that truly deepens the original mystery. Composition of the new fragrance ENCRE NOIRE A L'EXTREME is announced as very masculine, intensive, powerful.
