About this deal

Zesty wood because of the bergamot, pine-y because of the cypress and the tabacco makes it gentleman like. with 6-8 hours of longevity and moderate silage this baby comes off as a pleasant and inoffensive scent.

I lent this bottle out to 3 different friends and only one of them got 2 hours out of it, while me and my other friends only got 1 hour. I am still new to all this whole fragrance world, but to me this one smells very fresh, warm and spicy. The only fragrance that has attracted a compliment for me in a nightclub from a hot young woman that I had not met until that night.

Gucci smells really masculine and you get tobacco, patchouli, cypress and bergamot with some other notes mixed in. The mid notes of tobacco and jasmine come through with subtlety, giving some warmth and sweetness after the minty opening. Was a nice powdery smell from what I remember but the performance wasn’t that exciting on me at the time. On the plus side it features a lovely bottle design and feels like a premium product, it just doesn't deliver for me. the performance is the main downside of this scent, the projection and longevity are slightly below average. One night we went all out for some beers and I ended up sleeping at his place, because I passed out. Maybe it had a placebo effect on me because I didn't wear it much but just from wearing it occasionally it did build my confidence up a bit.

Ranks of nobility legendarily wore custom fragrances as the distinguishing attribute of their character, and Gucci (by Gucci) definitely projects as one of those kinds of scents, making it an instant favorite among men with a taste for the divine.

I don’t get it, why would you decide to discontinue the only fragrance that is actually selling and smells the best from your current mens collection without releasing a replacement for it? If you read this right now, go find yourself the bottle that stated Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme that don't have a vertical line on the box. The bottle I purchased nearly a decade ago has a more prominent green/ozonic opening note when first sprayed. I bought this fragrance wich appeartly was reformulated and name changed from gucci by gucci , to just; Gucci pour Homme.

IMO, the best Gucci fragrance they ever produced: the blend, the quality, performance - all is from niche side of the market. I would much prefer and recommend Aramis Tuscany - so much better in this regard, it’s a proper fragrance when compared with this. While hanae mori is close, I find that to be heavier - more suited for fall and winter - and less calming and refreshing. I still can detect it at the 5h mark if I really smell it up close, but everyone in my family said they couldn't smell it at all anymore (that was about the 3h mark). I had a colleague come over at my desk and while talking to me, have a look at my cup to see if I was sipping tea. I liked it so much in fact that I bought a 2nd bottle a few years later on the off chance it would get discontinued. Unfortunately, I have to agree with a good many people here that while Gucci By Gucci PH smells great, it has a synthetic quality about it that just doesn't feel right.
