About this deal

It achieved fame in 2010 because it won the Best Major Tourist Attraction award for three years in a row and in 2011 it also won the Australian Tourism Awards, Best Tourism Restaurant and Best Tourism Winery. His vision was to create great tasting wines that reflect the true character of the grapes and the land. As one of the few wineries in the country with a dedicated sensorial lab to help refine wine styles. Understandably, it’s an oak-drawn red – there’s this line of caramel fudge and hard caramel through the grainy textured palate that is the defining flavour. The aromas of black fruits, sweet spice and dried herbs linger in the nose, and the palate is full of smooth tannins and a luscious, velvety texture.

While maturation has taken place in traditional wine barrels for different periods based on variety, these wines are finished in aged Scotch whisky (for the Shiraz, Shiraz Cabernet and Chardonnay) and Irish whiskey (for Cabernet Sauvignon) barrels. The Double Barrel range has been a giant success for Jacobs Creek, with the wines proving yet again that rich flavours will wine over drinkers of any persuasion.

bottle: The wine comes in a 75cl bottle, making it perfect for sharing with friends or enjoying on your own.

We will be addressing your parcel exactly as you have entered it and cannot be responsible for delays or problems by incorrect details. Golden honey nut fruit and oak is commercially attractive but it’s not real, a facade over a ripe yet tart wine. For a wine finished in Caribbean rum barrels, it was important to start with a rich and deeply fruited red wine. In those circumstances, you must also keep all packaging as this may be required when making a claim. We will not have any responsibility for any damage which occurs to the Goods after you receive them.

Jacob's Creek Winery is located in Australia's most famous wine region, the Barossa Valley, in South Africa, 80 km north of Adelaide. Indulgent yet subtle blend of two of Australia's most famous red grapes, the iconic Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Jacob's Creek Double Barrel Rum Red Wine is a unique and flavourful wine that offers a one-of-a-kind tasting experience.Just a side note, my wife really liked this one too and her exact words were “I can have a bottle of wine just once and not drink it again, but this one I would definitely keep coming back to”. Please note that credit and debit cards can take extra time to appear in your account – this depends on your banks policy and is out of our control. If you do require precise ingredient information you should consult the manufacturer, whose contact details will appear on the packaging or label. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. It gives the drinkers what they want – a connection with Scotch whisky (with portions matured in old whisky barrels) and a thick, blocky oak and fruit richness.

Finishing of the wine in an extremely rare Scotch Whisky barrel which once aged a rare 50 year old single malt Scotch Whisky. It’s a structural oak, too, which means more oak tannin layers, and will ensure this lives and lives (a bit like one of those inexpensive, long-barrel-aged Rioja). It’s not about subtlety or complexity, it’s about sheer mass of rich and generous flavour, and for that I admire it. Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel Shiraz Cabernet Rum 2021 is now available in retailers across the UK, NZ, and Australia. This is a budget friendly choice, it's a great option with meals and will compliment many different dishes. Jacob's Creek Double Barrel Rum Red Wine is a delicious and complex wine that is sure to please any palate. Rum is the latest innovation for the Double Barrel range, which was chosen due to its flavour profile of fruit and cacao lending itself perfectly to red wine. This is a step behind the red, which is understandable, but that golden flavour combo will win friends, even if the finish is a bit lean. The wine is made with Shiraz grapes that are first aged in wine barrels and then in rum barrels, which gives the wine a unique and flavourful profile.
