L'Oréal Paris Infallible Pro Glow Longwear Foundation, 201 Classic Ivory, 30 ml (Amazon Exclusive)
About this deal
To be 100% honest, I have to blot my makeup after a few hours of wear no matter what foundation/primer/powder combo I use. So you can imagine my unadulterated joy when L'Oréal finally announced they were rolling out Pro-Glow in the UK. I wasn’t sure why I was getting such different results until I realized that it was because of my skin care. I do find it to be more of a natural looking foundation that gives a beautiful glow from within look to the skin.
This foundation is available in 12 shades, I decided on the second lightest which is a great colour match for my skin tone. Dimethicone, I’ve learned through experience, tends to exacerbate the dryness of my skin, so it’s something I try to avoid. Described as a medium coverage foundation, Pro-Glow promises a pretty impressive 24 hour wear time for a 'natural, healthy glow' that is ideal for people with normal to dry skin. I do find some days that my T-Zone will need a little powder touch up towards the end of the day but that's it! The rest of my makeup applied very nicely on top of this foundation as it was not super tacky feeling.
I personally really like this packaging; it makes it easy to control the amount of product being used in a very sanitary way. I probably wear half that amount normally for a lighter medium coverage but I wanted you to see that the Pro-Glow foundation is capable of a heavier medium coverage.
I also had to mix 2 shades together with the Pro-Matte since I am mid-way between 101 and 102 with those foundations as well. Ranking all their tried-and-tested foundations within Make-Up Addictions group, the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Longwear formula has been deemed the best for combination skin. This is not to say it is poor quality, it is just not as compatable with dry or mature skin, but it you have oily skin, you probably would not experience any of those issues and this would honestly be my top recommendation. First off I’m sorry I didn’t post at all last week, work and life have me busy lately so I was pretty bummed I wasn’t able to get anything posted.
Today I will be reviewing and comparing the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundationand the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation. I’d say coverage is medium and hides imperfections decently but I still like to use a concealer on blemishes or uneven skintones.Vanicream is a rich cream similar in texture to CeraVe cream except it’s petrolatum based so it acts like a thin barrier on top of the skin that prevents moisture from escaping. The oilier you are, the oilier this foundation will make you look unless you use some type of mattifier; which defeats the purpose of this foundation.
Hearst UK is the trading name of the National Magazine Company Ltd, 30 Panton Street, Leicester Square, London, SW1Y 4AJ. All in all, the foundation just didn’t sound very promising but nevertheless I still wanted to give it a try.
Whether you're hunting for a sale on your favorite lipstick or seeking affordable foundations, our selection has it all. As a super dry gal, I reach for my dewier foundations on my driest days, and reserve this for my better skin days, as it isn't as hydrating as some of my other options.
