About this deal

Fourth track "Lining Your Pockets" is different, it's slower and reflective with a sixties British folk-pop sound that gradually builds to a crescendo as Simon Fowler's demonstrates the magnificence of his vocals. Moseley’ takes its name from an area in Birmingham, ‘ Moseley Shoals’ is a tribute to Muscle Shoals, the legendary soul recording studios in Alabama.

The band also released a live album in December 2006, which was recorded at Birmingham Academy and spread over two discs. It's not the just songwriting or the playing that makes these songs so very good, that's not to say that the songwriting isn't good, it is, and so is the playing from all four musicians, but it's in the arrangements and the production by Bernard Lynch and OCS where their strength lies; they've really thrown in the bells and whistles, although perhaps not real bells and whistles, and that's what makes these songs work; they're collages of carefully arranged small fragments of sound that have been pasted together but not in a throw-in-the-kitchen-sink-and-make-everything-louder-than everything-else way, these songs been crafted with journeyman precision and it's an absolute joy to listen to them in my headphones. The band suddenly catapulted back into the spotlight because of its superstar connections, but the music actually deserved the attention. A low-key start to their career was boosted by two things – the endorsement of two of Britain's biggest pop stars – Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher, and the exposure given to the first single, The Riverboat Song, by Chris Evans on his hit TV show 'TFI Friday'. So while that's three out of three so far you have to question the wisdom, or perhaps the self-belief, of any band that front-loads its second album with three hits.A low-key start to their career was boosted by two things – the endorsement of two of Britain’s biggest pop stars – Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher, and the exposure given to the first single, The Riverboat Song, by Chris Evans on his hit TV show ‘TFI Friday’. Having not previously been familiar with OCS, somehow they and much of the late '90s and early noughties passed me by, ahead of the fest' I broke one of my cardinal rules and bought their best of package "Songs For The Front Row" as a crammer, but now I'm back for more and have purchased not just their breakthrough album "Moseley Shoals" but also its successor "Marchin Already". In 2009, the band went into the studio with producer Gavin Monaghan, known for his work with Editors, Scott Matthews and The Twang, to work on a new album, Saturday, with a release date of 1 February 2010 to mark the 21st anniversary of the band. I remember", said OCS singer Simon Fowler in a 1996 interview, "when we were dropped, our old label boss said there were no potential singles on the demo tape we'd just given him.

The following year, in 2016, the band announced several special concerts around the UK to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 1996 hit album Moseley Shoals. But between their debut and their second album, 1996's Moseley Shoals, a strange thing happened -- the band was taken under the wings of two of Britain's biggest pop stars, Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher.Records that aren't in picture sleeves will either be in a company sleeve or a generic plain sleeve. With their unique sound and dedication to their craft, they continue to captivate audiences worldwide. Moseley' takes its name from an area in Birmingham, 'Moseley Shoals' is a tribute to Muscle Shoals, the legendary soul recording studios in Alabama.

cette magnifique voix de Simon Fowler et les guitares de Steve Cradock on ne s'en lasse pas, un album qui s'écoute du début a la fin sans problème. In 2006 the band released a live acoustic album, Live at the Jam House, which consisted of fifteen live tracks and also contained four new songs in "Great Man in Waiting", "The Word", "Still Trying" and "Matilda's England".

But while there are similarities there is a complexity to OCS's sound that's all their own, and it's at this point that I realise that that's where the strengths of this album lie. A menudo considerados miembros de segunda fila del britpop, donde fueron encasillados porque los críticos no tenían nada mejor que hacer. Fleeting Mind" that follows is another that has a sixties British folk-pop sound but with sharp jagged guitar work from Steve Craddock whose playing throughout the album is just phenomenal.

A companion vinyl box set was also released, covering their first three studio albums from 1992–1997. In 2014 a special edition of Marchin' Already was released on a 2 CD edition and a special deluxe 4 disc box set which included a DVD of their live performance at Stirling Castle in 1998. They even played on the "Moseley Shoals 15th Anniversary Tour", which they didn't originally record on.
