Hi, this is the second unit I have bought in 6 months, now the second one has stopped working. I have changed the batteries in the receiver and the push button. The blue light comes on but still it will not work. For a long time the battery transmitter has been OK but the plug-in receiver doesn’t produce any sound even though the blue light is in. I have a wireless b which has worked well but now the chime will only work when close to the bell push and I need it to work when I am further away. Sorry to hear that you are having issues! A friend of mine had the same issue and it was because some water had entered the push button. In between the signal transmitter and the receiver, several things can weaken or even destroy the signal before the receiver can receive it. Do you live in a climate that breaches either the minimal or maximum temperature? Has it reached those levels recently? This doorbell has the quality that you need it is built with high-quality materials. If the wireless doorbell chime is in your house, it will likely be within the operating temperature range (Specified in your manual). I am sure they can determine if a wireless device has been exposed to temperatures lower than the operational range. I would go through the process of resynchronizing the doorbell and receiver again.
